LA | Holbox | Uni Taco — An Instant Favorite

I’d seen this place posted so many times, but whenever I’m downtown, I already have other spots in mind 🏙️🤔 This Sunday, while strolling and chatting with a friend, Holbox suddenly came to mind—and we went for it! 🌮✨ The location feels like a lively Latino community food court, and there was even a small event with music and dancing—such a vibrant atmosphere 🎶💃 The food? Truly impressive at first bite! I usually avoid onions, except in Mexican cuisine—and this was no exception 🌶️🧅 The uni taco (with what I think was rockfish underneath) was tender and perfectly seasoned—no flaws at all. The avocado scallop taco was fiery hot—ground Mexican chilies delivered a surprising, eye-opening kick 😲🔥 The octopus taco was less exciting, maybe because neither my friend nor I love bean purée. The green sauce on the uni-scallop combo was delicious and unique—a flavor I’d never tasted before!
