LA | Inaba | Now I Get What “Eating High” Means 🍣✨
A dinner among friends — they’ve been saying Inaba’s been getting better and better lately, hitting that “food high” vibe. My expectations were sky-high. As usual with our crew of eight — we drink hard, and Yasu-san got so hyped he broke into song again. His “Lemon” cover was actually amazing this time! Back to the food: 🐟 Smoked toro — mind-blowing. So flavorful, the aftertaste lingers beautifully. 🐚 Marinated whelk — sweet and savory, that little bit of roe at the end was insanely tasty. 🐠 “LA’s best monkfish liver” — lived up to the hype, rich and lingering. 🌟 Tried both male and female uni — difference is huge! (When everyone preferred the female, Yasu-san almost cried — “The male box costs $40 more!” 😂) 🍤 Fried fish roll (aonme) — crispy outside, tender inside, like a bonus tempura masterpiece. I’m usually a casual sushi eater — go when friends invite, never book myself.
