LA | Japan House Realistic Food Replica Exhibition 🍱✨

Japan House is a cultural project launched by Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs to promote Japanese culture worldwide, with galleries currently in London, Los Angeles, and São Paulo. Japan House Los Angeles is located on the second floor of the Ovation mall on Hollywood Walk of Fame, hosting three to four themed exhibitions each year. Running until January 25, 2026, the "Looks Delicious! Food Replica Exhibition" covers the origin, development, production process, and applications of food replicas.😊😘 In addition to showcasing regional cuisine from all 47 prefectures of Japan and their unique ekiben (train station bento), the exhibition also features an interactive zone where visitors can assemble their own fake bento! I ended up spending an hour and a half inside without even noticing 😄 When I mentioned how food replicas were also common in food courts back in my childhood in China, the staff happily shared that they’re glad this Japanese-originated craft has been adopted in China and other regions (mostly East Asia). Through these replicas, food cultures from around the world are also being introduced to people in Japan. These tiny food models are quietly contributing to global cultural exchange! 🌍❤️ 🎫 Free admission, with parking validation ($3 for first 4 hours). #LAExhibitions #LATravel #LAWeekend #FoodBeyondBorders #ExhibitionRecommendation
