LA | MasterChef Judge Joe's Cozy Italian Spot! 🍕🇮🇹
Today’s food adventure: Pizzeria Mozza, owned by MasterChef judge Joe (the charismatic bald chef!) 👨🍳✨ Address: 641 N Highland Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036 Top Picks: 🥓 Prosciutto Platter – In my opinion, good prosciutto is like high-quality shabu-shabu meat—each slice is distinct, not sticky. Paired with garlic bread, it’s a savory delight you won’t want to stop eating! 🍖 Meatball – Packed with real meat, not starchy filler—texture is firm and satisfying. 🍗 Chicken Liver Pâté – Finely minced, lightly sauced, and spread on crispy bread—rich but not heavy! Biggest Letdown: 🦴 Bone Marrow – A classic Italian dish, but this one was overly greasy and heavy. Even as a bone marrow lover (I scrape every bit at home!), this felt too salty and rich. The accompanying bread was oilier than the meatball or prosciutto bread. Skip unless you’re a die-hard marrow fan. Biggest Surprise: 🥪 Turkey Avocado Panini – Not sure if it was the contrast after the marrow, but this was delicious! Turkey and avocado were fresh, and the lettuce had a tangy vinegar kick. Highly recommend pairing it with the marrow to balance the richness. Biggest Confusion: 🍕 Primavera Pizza – How to describe it? Bizarre. No cheese, no tomato or white sauce—just a light ricotta drizzle. Doesn’t feel like pizza. Maybe pass on this one. (But the crust itself was great—thin, traditional Italian style, baked to crisp perfection! 🥚 Add an egg on top for a next-level experience~) Have you been here?
