LA | Michelin-Recommended Korean BBQ — Absolutely Fire! 🔥
Let me introduce you to a Korean BBQ spot that’s earned a spot in the Michelin Guide! 🥩 This place takes a more refined approach—so refined, in fact, you won’t even notice the usual smoky grill smell when you walk in 👍. Their banchan (side dishes) are next-level, with a wide variety, and every one is delicious 🤤. We went with Set Menu C (check the photos for details!). The set includes your choice of stone pot bibimbap or soup, plus a bottle of soju 🍻. We also added thinly sliced beef tongue, cold noodles, and braised beef short ribs 🐂 to our order. The braised short ribs were tasty but leaned sweet, and at $70 for a small portion, the value wasn’t quite there—I’d still pick Sun Nong Dan for this dish 🫢. That said, the quality of the meat here is seriously impressive. The beef tongue and prime boneless short rib were so tender, they practically melted in our mouths 💗. Plus, the staff grills everything for you, so no stress about getting the doneness just right! They also offer a veggie basket 🥬—something many KBBQ spots don’t have—with perilla leaves and lettuce for wrapping. Just note, it’s an extra charge. Heads-up: This place is on the pricier side (we’re talking $7 for a Fanta 😅). Final damage came out to around $150 per person. 🏠:Genwa 📍:5115 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036 #LosAngeles #LAFood #KoreanBBQ #MichelinGuide #Genwa #MeatLovers #LADining #KtownEats #FoodieReview #SplurgeWorthy
