LA | Mikiya AYCE Sukiyaki | Mixed Feelings on This Wagyu Experience

With a new location recently opened in Rowland Heights, I finally sat down to write about my visit to Mikiya 🍲✨ Honestly, all-you-can-eat isn’t really my style—especially at a higher price point. Here’s the real talk: Apart from the top-tier wagyu and the shrimp sashimi (which was fresh and we ordered plenty of), most other items left me underwhelmed 😕 The beef tartare was literally icy and gritty—one bite was enough. Please, take it off the menu 🙅‍♀️❄️ I usually love bone marrow, but here it lacked richness and just tasted greasy. My sweet-toothed friend also found the broth too mild and kept asking for extra sauce! 😂 Maybe I’ve just grown pickier over years of writing about food—from reviews to posts—but at this price, Mikiya’s AYCE could definitely be better 📝💸 That said, the place is always packed, so they’re clearly doing something right for many diners. Here’s hoping their new Rowland Heights spot steps up the game! 🥰 From sizzling hot pots to endless meat plates, Mikiya offers a feast for the hungry—but for true flavor seekers, there might be room to grow 🥢🌟 #Foodie #AYCE #Sukiyaki #LAEats #Wagyu #AllYouCanEat #HonestReview #JapaneseFood #FoodThoughts #RoomForImprovement
