LA | Mikiya Sukiyaki | AYCE Wagyu Sukiyaki 🍲🥩

With a new location recently opened in Rowland, I finally sat down to write about my visit to the original Mikiya. Honestly? AYCE isn’t really for me — especially at this price point. Straight talk: Apart from the highest-grade beef and the shrimp sashimi (which we ordered a lot of — freshness was decent), most other items fell short. The beef tartare had so much ice in it, I took one bite and… 😬 Seriously, they should consider removing it from the menu. The bone marrow lacked that rich beefy aroma — just tasted heavy and greasy. My sweet-toothed friend kept asking the server to add more sweet broth to the pot — it wasn’t flavorful enough for her. 😅 Maybe I’ve just grown pickier over years of writing about food, but at this price, Mikiya’s AYCE could definitely be better. That said, they’re clearly popular — hoping the Rowland Heights branch brings some pleasant surprises! #FYP #LifeAbroad #LAFoodGuide #WagyuSukiyaki #WagyuLove #BeefLovers #HiddenGems #MichelinInspired #MyFoodFavorites #LAJapaneseFood #LASukiyakiSpot #WeekendEats #AYCE #LAEats #SashimiTime 🥢✨
