LA | Seline | New Spot! Indescribable but Classic Flavor Surprises 🌟

Every dish is delicious. There are no weird or bizarre flavors. Each course has a taste that makes you think, "This is yummy, but I can't quite place where I've had this flavor before." Of course, you could argue that it's a bit boring compared to Meteora. I personally think there are similarities between the two. 🤔 I had heard from others that it was a "vegetable leaf set," but that's not quite accurate. The ingredients are actually quite rich and interesting. It was my first time trying sweetbread (veal thymus), and it was amazing! The texture was fantastic. I'm glad I didn't look it up before eating it, or I might have needed a bit more mental preparation. The iceberg lettuce leaves were thoughtfully arranged, and the two layers of sauce dips were really well done. 🥬 Venison is usually a deal-breaker for me, but I was pleasantly surprised by the raw venison tartare. It had no gamey taste at all, and the texture was incredibly rich, paired with crispy rice and walnuts. (Who would have thought I'd be licking the plate after eating venison?) 🦌 The black truffle milkshake didn't work for me. I love black truffle, but I'm not a fan of mushrooms. This one had a strong mushroom aftertaste, almost like eating shiitake mushrooms. After one sip, I couldn't handle it and passed it to my friend. 🍼 Overall, it was a delightful surprise. However, when it comes to desserts, I can only say, "Umm, too sweet!!!" The first bite was overwhelmingly sweet, and even my friend, who loves sweet things, couldn't finish it, saying it was too sugary. The next creative offering was olive ice cream with olive jam. How to put it... It felt like eating a frozen butter sandwich (with olive oil instead).
