LA | Stunning Italian Food – Pesto Grilled Shrimp & More! 🇮🇹
Trying to find a spot in West LA for a Friday dinner (without dealing with crazy traffic) led me deep into the foodie blogs—and I discovered this underrated Italian restaurant that’s absolutely worth the hype! 🦐 Gamberi – Pesto Grilled Shrimp The aroma hit us as soon as the sizzling skillet arrived! The shrimp were plump, sweet, and perfectly grilled, with a pesto sauce that enhanced—not overpowered—their natural flavor. A must-order! 🥖 Sfincione – Focaccia Bread So fluffy and fragrant—we could smell it from across the table! We couldn’t wait to tear into it. The rich olive oil and rosemary scent with every bite… absolutely irresistible. 🌼 Fiori di Zucca – Zucchini Flower Fritters A dish I never knew I needed! The zucchini flowers were lightly sweet, fried to a delicate crisp, and stuffed with melted cheese 🧀. If you love tempura, you’ll be obsessed. 🍕 Diavola Pizza Thin, crispy crust with spicy pepperoni and stretchy, melted cheese. So flavorful—I’d order it again in a heartbeat! 🍝 Pesto Pasta & Pappardelle with Mushroom & Meat Sauce The pesto pasta was al dente but could’ve used more seasoning—probably wouldn’t reorder. But the pappardelle with mushroom and meat sauce? Incredible! It had a surprisingly familiar, almost Chinese-style savory depth 👅. We reserved a few days ahead, and the place was packed. Service was a bit rushed (our server low-key hinted we should wrap up), but the food totally made up for it. 👩💻 By day, I’m a data scientist in tech; by night, a foodie sharing hidden gems across LA and the Bay.
