I’ve walked past this Santa Monica spot so many times, and it’s always packed. When I checked online, I was shocked—no one has shared about it yet! And the food? Absolutely breathtaking, easily one of my top meals this year. 🐟 Crispy Chips with Bursting Ikura A secret menu item perfect with drinks! Crispy fried chips are topped with mayo, spicy sauce, two types of popping ikura, avocado, and pickles—bold, rich, and an ideal pairing for cocktails. 🐡 Nori Uni Taco The sweetest uni I’ve had all year, no contest! Sourced from Santa Barbara, it’s even sweeter than some Hokkaido uni I’ve tried. The ikura bursts in your mouth, and a subtle hint of spice elevates the finish. 🐠 Kanpachi Crudo The fish was beautifully oily but not heavy, letting its natural flavor shine. A sprinkle of chili powder added depth without heat—so addictive, I couldn’t stop reaching for more. 🦪 Half Dozen Oysters Small but plump and fresh, with a creamy texture that melted in the mouth. 🍞 Bluefin Tuna Toast A must-order! Buttery, toasted bread piled high with fatty toro. The tuna was exceptional, enhanced by scallion-infused oil, black sesame, and white onion. Incredibly rich and generous for just $26! 🍝 Fish-Braised Pork & Tomato Gnocchi This dish was a revelation! The sauce was simmered with fish broth and minced pork, then cooked down with two types of cherry tomatoes.
