LA Alexander’s Steakhouse | Date Night on a Tuesday 💘
A really clever appetizer—crispy fried potato balls with complex flavors, crunchy outside but not greasy at all! 🥔✨ The bread basket came with three kinds: Hokkaido-style milk bread, squid ink bread, and cheesy bread—so good! 🍞🧀 Definitely a Japanese-American fusion steakhouse vibe, setting the stage for the A5 Wagyu ahead. Even the butter was served in a bone marrow shell—adorable and thoughtful! 🦴💛 Already excited for the main course! 🐟 The shot pairing was nice—different from other seafood shots. Uni Wagyu Toast was incredible! The uni was super sweet—even better than at some sushi spots. The grilled Wagyu wasn’t heavy, and they gave us 6 types of salt to try—so memorable! 🧂🌟 Hokkaido scallops were good too, though the accompaniments outshone the scallop itself lol! Black cod was delicious—served with a Thai-style sauce that was light and refreshing. 🐟🌿 The star: Miyazaki Wagyu, only 3oz for $135, but totally worth it! Rich beef flavor, perfect Maillard reaction, expertly grilled—so pleasantly surprised! Not greasy, just pure deliciousness! 🥩🔥 The roasted bone marrow was sweet and fatty but not overwhelming. Though I’d skip the creative sides—the Korean cauliflower and fried rice were just okay. Overall, way better than I expected—the grilled steak skills are seriously impressive! You can tell there’s real technique behind it. 👨🍳💯 Have you been to Alexander’s Steakhouse? What’s your favorite steakhouse in LA for a special occasion?
