LA Area π’ Japanese Yakitori Spot
Came to Torrance with friends for an errand and happened to find this place β all four of us rushed in like hungry tigers! π Overall, the flavor, serving speed, and service were great! When we left, the server even said in Chinese β so nice! π₯Ή The dining environment was cozy, though the four-person seating felt a bit tight and narrow β even for smaller frames, sitting side by side was a squeeze. We ordered a ton β here are my recommendations for tasty or unique dishes: π Yellowtail Sashimi β Rich, buttery, and super tender! Paired with raw shishito pepper β the crisp pepper and soft fish were a perfect combo. π π« Okonomiyaki β Not on the menu, but we asked and they made it from their hidden menu! Pretty standard, but good for a quick craving fix. πΆοΈ Shishito Pepper Yakitori β Loved these peppers β so fragrant and not too spicy. Lightly charred skins were aromatic and delicious. π Agedashi Eggplant β Super soft eggplant in savory dashi broth, with grated daikon(?), ginger shreds, and bonito flakes. One bite and your taste buds will be thrilled! π π¦ Gesokara (Fried Squid Legs) β Crispy, flavorful fried squid legs. Squeeze lemon and dip in mayo β so satisfying! π Pork Curry β Lean pork cutlet with mildly rich curry. A reliable main dish choice. π Shiitake Mushrooms β Juicy grilled shiitake β loved it! The rice vinegar with yuzu sauce was a great condiment β went well with both fried food and skewers. The shop uses charcoal grilling β no wonder everything was so fragrant and full of flavor! Yakitori lovers, donβt miss this spot!! π₯ π¬ Shin-Sen-Gumi Yakitori & Chanko Gardena π 18517 S Western Ave, Gardena, CA 90248 π ΏοΈ Plenty of parking in the plaza. #LA #LosAngeles #YakitoriLover #IzakayaVibes #Yakitori #LALife #SushiSpot #JapaneseCuisine
