LA Chinese Food|China Great Buffet 🍽️
My roommate and I vowed to try every budget-friendly Chinese AYCE in LA. And honestly, the value is unreal — under $20 for so many choices? Can't complain! Most of these Chinese buffets have similar offerings: sushi, salmon, shrimp prepared different ways, chicken skewers, and classic American-Chinese dishes like beef with broccoli, chow mein, fried rice, etc. But each place has its own little twist. This one had really tasty fried fish — lightly seasoned, savory, almost like home-style fried ribbon fish. 🍰 Dessert highlight: The brownies were pretty good — not too sweet or greasy, with a rich chocolate flavor and a slightly dense texture. 🍹 Special find at the fruit station: A sweet soup with chia seeds and tapioca pearls. I added some canned peaches and mandarin oranges — tasted just like the street-style sweet soups from Guangdong. Brought back memories! 😄 My brave friend even grabbed a red bean zongzi and a custard bun from the buffet (though a lava custard bun would've been even better, haha). Note: The background music here was all English pop, unlike the '90s Chinese tunes at the last spot. Personally, I preferred the vibe and real plates at the other place, but taste and value here are still top-notch! #Foodie #LosAngeles #LAChineseFood #BuffetLife #FoodDiary #USA 🥢✨
