LA Eatsο½Michelin-Selected Thai Food π Chiang Rai π
Tried Chiang Rai in Long Beach today β a spot thatβs been in the Michelin Guide for three consecutive years. Heard waits could be long, but on Saturday noon we only waited about 20 minutes. What we ordered: π Khao Soi Soft Shell Crab Soup Rating: πππππ Rich coconut curry broth with crispy soft-shell crab β every noodle soaked in flavor π π Chiang Rai Platter Rating: ππππ A signature appetizer platter with 4 types of Thai snacks β perfect for sharing among four. π Somtum Kai Todd Rating: πππ Grilled whole chicken wings with papaya salad and sticky rice. The sticky rice felt a bit out of place β no special seasoning, didnβt pair well with the wings or salad. However, the rice went nicely with the curry soup! Wings were a bit dry β not my favorite. β Verdict: Small space, but portions and flavors are solid. Most recommended: curry noodle soups (choose from chicken, beef, shrimp, crab, or pork). β οΈ No dedicated parking β street parking only, can be tricky. π 3832 E Anaheim St, Long Beach, CA 90804 #ThaiFood #OrangeCounty #IrvineAreaLife #MichelinEats #LongBeachFood π₯
