LA Eats๏ฝMichelin-Selected Thai Food ๐ Chiang Rai ๐
Tried Chiang Rai in Long Beach today โ a spot thatโs been in the Michelin Guide for three consecutive years. Heard waits could be long, but on Saturday noon we only waited about 20 minutes. What we ordered: ๐ Khao Soi Soft Shell Crab Soup Rating: ๐๐๐๐๐ Rich coconut curry broth with crispy soft-shell crab โ every noodle soaked in flavor ๐ ๐ Chiang Rai Platter Rating: ๐๐๐๐ A signature appetizer platter with 4 types of Thai snacks โ perfect for sharing among four. ๐ Somtum Kai Todd Rating: ๐๐๐ Grilled whole chicken wings with papaya salad and sticky rice. The sticky rice felt a bit out of place โ no special seasoning, didnโt pair well with the wings or salad. However, the rice went nicely with the curry soup! Wings were a bit dry โ not my favorite. โ Verdict: Small space, but portions and flavors are solid. Most recommended: curry noodle soups (choose from chicken, beef, shrimp, crab, or pork). โ ๏ธ No dedicated parking โ street parking only, can be tricky. ๐ 3832 E Anaheim St, Long Beach, CA 90804 #ThaiFood #OrangeCounty #IrvineAreaLife #MichelinEats #LongBeachFood ๐ฅ
