LA Eats|Star Leaf – Thai Food for the Chinese Palate 🇹🇭❤️
I’m a huge fan of Thai food, and Star Leaf blends diverse flavors in such a satisfying way — I’ve been here four times in a month! The Chinese owner really understands Chinese taste preferences, and so far, nothing has been a real letdown. 🍖 Beef Short Ribs The signature dish — melts in your mouth, tender, fragrant, and deeply satisfying. A must-order! 🍗 Grilled Chicken They really know how to cook meat — juicy, tender, not dry at all. The skin is crispy and flavorful, and the portion is generous. 🍖 Grilled Lamb Chops A bit less impressive than the beef and chicken. I didn’t love the sauce either — unless you’re really into lamb, try the others first. 🦐 Seafood Curry Amazing! I’m a curry fanatic (Japanese, Indian, Thai — I’ve tried them all), and theirs truly wowed me. I finished two bowls of rice with it! 🦀 Soft Shell Crab Curry Not as good as the seafood curry. Maybe because the focus is on the crab, which was decent but not super fresh. 🥘 Tom Yum Soup Just okay — the sourness didn’t hit right for me. Tasty, but not classic tom yum. 🍚 Fish Roe Fried Rice Pretty fragrant — solid choice. 🍍 Pineapple Fried Rice I loved this more than the fish roe rice — slightly sweet but not overly so, and more ingredients mixed in. 🍨 Pudding Ice Cream Thai milk tea ice cream — nice but not as good as the drink. Both the pudding and ice cream were a bit too sweet. 🍧 Assorted Dessert Platter Comes with a dry ice effect! Includes fruit, lotus seeds, jelly, and ice cream — light and refreshing. If you want dessert, start with this. Beef Short Ribs: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ They offer lunch specials at much lower prices! Parking can be tricky — opt for valet, street parking, or the lot across the street. Seriously delicious — go try it! 📍 641 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91101 #UnforgettableFood #LosAngeles #LA #StudentLife #FoodShare #FoodDiary 🍛
