LA Eats | A Cozy Portuguese Bistro Where Food Steals the Show 🍷

Just had the most heartfelt (and delicious) reunion dinner with my forever foodie partner (aka Mrs. Kim Seok-jin of LA 💖) at Barra Santos – a tucked-away Portuguese gem we’d been meaning to try forever. Funny enough, it’s right next to Loquat Coffee, a spot we frequent… how did we miss this?! 📍 Barra Santos Street parking | Book via Resy (it’s small and popular!) While most guests are here for wine and small bites, we came for a full-on food mission 🍽️. Yes, we finished every dish while others sipped and snacked. No regrets 😂 🫒 Iberico Ham Good, though lean for Iberico. Would be better with cheese & melon 🧀🍈. But watching them slice it fresh at the bar was hypnotic! 🥗 Endive Salad A STUNNING mix of bitter-sweet endive, orange, malvarosa cheese, cilantro, almonds, and smoked chili vinaigrette. Life-changing salad inspiration ✨ 🦐 Head-on Prawns Solid flavor + great texture. Get the bread they offer – it’s perfect for soaking up that garlicky sauce! 🥖 🐟 Whole Branzino Perfectly crispy skin, tender flesh, zesty sauce. A must-order! (Note: fried cilantro on top may not be for everyone.) 💭 Skip the $28 scallops (only 3 pieces?) – not worth it.
