LA Food｜Japanese Eats at Mitsuwa Marketplace 🍱

After a long day of work, my colleagues (who are also my buddies!) and I headed out for some Japanese food. 🍱 Place: Mitsuwa Marketplace 📍 Address: 3760 S Centinela Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90066 🚗 Parking: Easy — free lot right next door 💰 Price: $10–20 per person 📜 Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Yes, it’s a market — but hidden inside are several legit Japanese food counters! 🍤 Hannosuke — specializes in tempura 🍲 Tokyo Shokudo — specializes in curry & rice bowls 🍝 Sanuki Sandou — specializes in udon noodles 🍜 Santouka — specializes in ramen I ordered the curry beef udon from Sanuki Sandou — delicious! Only $9 — great value for money. (I only remembered to take a photo halfway through eating 😅) The curry was lighter than I expected — if you prefer thick curry, try Tokyo Shokudo’s curry rice (my friend confirmed it’s tasty!). We took over a big table, eating and chatting away 😁 After finishing, you can leave your dishes on the table — cleaning staff will collect them. I tipped the cleaning auntie $1 — I appreciate cleaning crews! 😘 After the meal, my friends bought Japanese sweets and snacks from the market to share.
