LA Food|Pasadena’s One-of-a-Kind Crispy "Hundred Flowers" Chicken‼️
Went with friends to Colette Pasadena, a Cantonese restaurant in Pasadena known for its modern fusion dishes. Heard even Daniel Wu has visited! Checked the menu — truly impressive, with many unique dishes we hadn’t seen elsewhere. We picked a few specialties to try. 👇 What We Ordered 👇 🌟 Crispy “Hundred Flowers” Chicken My first time trying this signature dish. It features crispy chicken skin coated with breadcrumbs, filled with shrimp paste inside — crunchy outside, chewy inside. Served with sweet chili sauce — very unique! We ordered a half portion, but it was still plenty for 4 people to share ✅. 🌟 Black Truffle Shredded Chicken Hand-shredded poached chicken in a rich black truffle sauce. Tasted unusual at first but grew addictive! Best eaten with onions and cilantro for balance. 🌟 Salted Egg Yolk with Silky Gourd I love gourd! Lightly stir-fried, crisp and refreshing, coated in savory salted egg yolk — next-level flavor. 🌟 Black Pepper Beef Cubes A classic at many restaurants, but here the beef cubes are perfectly cooked. Mushroom sauce keeps it moist but not soggy — a nice sweet-savory taste. 🌟 Sizzling XO Seafood Tofu Fried egg tofu soaked in XO sauce, served with fish slices, shrimp, egg strips, and green beans. Super flavorful — perfect with rice! Summary: They offer traditional Cantonese dishes, dim sum, and plenty of creative modern plates. Prices are reasonable, portions are large — great for group dining. I noticed many tables ordering their clay pot dishes — looked and smelled amazing. Definitely trying those next time! 🍴 Restaurant: Colette 📍 975 N Michillinda Ave, Pasadena, CA 91107 #LAFood #LAEats #Pasadena #CantoneseFood #PasadenaEats #LAChineseFood
