LA Food|Super Delicious Brunch in Pasadena
Hidden gem brunch spot: Bone Kettle 📍 Address: 67 N Raymond Ave, Pasadena, CA 91103 This restaurant serves both brunch and dinner, focusing on fusion Southeast Asian cuisine — though it blends in Chinese and Korean flavors too. Think pan-Asian fusion! 💡 You can make reservations directly on Yelp! 1️⃣ Waffle Stack For two people, this was a lot — two layers of waffles, eight pieces total. The waiter told me at the end it’s usually meant for 4–5 people 😅. But it was delicious! The waffles were soft and not too sweet, topped with raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, and layers of honeydew melon. Crowned with ube ice cream (better than Trader Joe’s, honestly!). Not heavy or cloying at all — just wished my stomach was bigger! It’s also super photogenic with purple and green hues. Only downside: too much for two, easy to waste. Rating: 🌟🌟🌟 2️⃣ Bone Kettle Noodle & Broth We chose Prime Fatty Brisket — the name sounds rich and indulgent, and it totally delivered! So, so good! 🍜 The noodles were chewy and flavorful, the brisket was large and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The broth was savory and rich but not oily — clean and refreshing, which is rare. As a noodle lover, I’d give this 10/10. Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 3️⃣ Oxtail Hash The potatoes were amazing — crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, perfectly roasted. The bacon wasn’t in chunks but shredded into meaty strands, dry and fragrant like beef jerky threads. Topped with three perfectly runny eggs. Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 4️⃣ Lychee Dragon Fruit Lemonade Seemed like everyone had one — for good reason! Refreshing lychee flavor, subtle dragon fruit (mostly for color), and lemonade that pairs surprisingly well with lychee. Perfect for cooling down and quenching thirst.
