LA Foodie|Japanese Wagyu BBQ Guide in Los Angeles 🔥
As a serious Wagyu lover, I’ve tried nearly all the famous Japanese BBQ spots in LA. If you’re into grilled meat — this list is all you need! Sincere, no-fail recommendations. ① Yazawa Japanese BBQ Located in Beverly Hills — my favorite on this list! Three set options: $120 / $160 / $180 per person — difference is extra filet/sirloin Wagyu in the latter two. For girls, $120 is plenty; guys can go for $160/180. The experience isn’t just meat — they include small dishes, stone-pot rice, curry rice, and cold noodles in between. ② Manpuku Japanese BBQ Four locations — pick the closest one.😁😊 Sets: $69 / $89 per person, or order à la carte. Good online reviews, but personally, after Yazawa, it feels a step down in plating and flavor. Still, the price is more accessible.😍💕 ③ Yakiya In Hacienda Heights — solid set-menu BBQ in the SGV. $128 per person — signature dishes like bone marrow stone-pot rice are delicious. Meat quality is reliable. They also recently opened in Pasadena. ④ Niku X Downtown location — best ambiance on this list. Great for celebrations or birthdays. Higher price point: $150 / $230 per person (à la carte available too). I recommend the set — includes premium items like caviar, king salmon, beef tongue, A5 Wagyu, foie gras toast. Feels luxurious — a place I’d revisit and bring friends. ⑤ Tsuruhashi In Fountain Valley — à la carte style, traditional Japanese BBQ spot. No frills, simple seasoning that highlights the meat’s natural flavor. Always busy — expect a 30+ minute wait at peak times.😘👌 ⑥ Omaniku Located inside the Sheraton Hotel in San Gabriel. Not purely a BBQ spot — more of a fusion set course that includes grilled Wagyu.😊😊 $128 per person — I really enjoyed it. They also have a branch in Hacienda Heights. ⑦ Chubby Cattle BBQ AYCE (All You Can Eat)! Three tiers: $55 / $75 / $85. Go for $75/85 for the widest variety of unlimited meats.😂👍 Also includes appetizers, sushi, hand rolls, sides, drinks. Multiple locations — my favorite is the Rowland Heights flagship — good meat quality, spacious, with a bar, game area, and DIY sauce station! #JapaneseBBQ #Wagyu #RestaurantRecs #HiddenGems #GlobalFoodies #LAEats #LAWagyuBBQ
