LA Foodie | What’s for Dinner Tonight? Day 8️⃣ 🍽️✨
【EAT】📍 Asakura Thanks to a fellow food lover’s tip, I made it just in time for Dine LA! This new kaiseki spot in LA is an extension of a high-end Tokyo team, with sister restaurants like La Bombance and Sudachi—both featured in the Michelin Guide for years 🏆. Their Dine LA menu runs until the 12th, with seasonal updates. We tried the $80/person option (the $100 adds caviar egg noodles). Perfect portions for a satisfying meal! First Course: A beautiful set of 6 small dishes. The standout? Crispy fish roe that pops in your mouth 🐟💥. Also loved the mochi-like tofu and savory miso cod with tamagoyaki. Second Course: Chawanmushi with scallop and dashi broth—delicate and layered in texture 🥚🍥. Third Course: Sukiyaki-style Wagyu rice bowl 🥩🍚. Each bite felt new: pure meat, then with onions, then with king oyster mushrooms. So flavorful! Dessert: Coffee pudding with hojicha—almost like a deconstructed tiramisu ☕🍮. Great value for an authentic kaiseki experience! 【DRINK】🍶 Three-Course Sake Pairing My favorite was Toyo Bijin—light, clean, and easy to enjoy 🍶🌸. Also enjoyed Miyabi No Tomo, a competition-level sake. 🅿️ Free plaza parking! If you love refined Japanese dining, don’t miss this one. Kaiseki options are rare in LA—and this one truly delivers. #LAFoodie #MichelinEats #DineLA #KaisekiLA #JapaneseCuisine #EatDrinkLA #FineDining #SakeLover #FoodJournal #LAWeeklyEats #TrySomethingNew
