LA Hiking Log – Earl Canyon Mountainway 🥾⛰️

Total distance: 7.3 miles Elevation gain: 2,070 ft Time taken: approx. 3 hours 📍 Search “Earl Canyon Mountainway” on AllTrails. Since the trailhead is inside a residential area, there’s no dedicated parking. I ended up parking on a nearby street—there were plenty of spots available in the neighborhood. It’s best to start early! The first part of the trail has some shade and is wide and easy to walk. Later on, it gets a bit hotter ☀️, but the incline is gradual the whole way, so it never feels too exhausting. The last section has a few more loose rocks, but nothing too tricky. Dog-friendly 🐕! I went in the morning and didn’t run into too many people. The endpoint isn’t a mountain peak but a flat platform where you can sit, rest, and enjoy the view 🌄.
