LA Hiking Log – Parker Mesa Overlook 🥾

Total distance: 6.8 miles Elevation gain: 1,145 ft Time: about 2 hours 55 minutes ⏱️ 📍 You can navigate directly to Trippet Ranch. There’s a parking lot where an attendant collects fees—3 per hour or 10 for the whole day. Some people also park on the street outside the entrance. On AllTrails, it’s listed as Parker Mesa Overlook Trail, located in Topanga State Park. This trail is all about the ocean views! 🌊 There are a few junctions where you can choose different routes. Signposts clearly show distances to various points, and there are several benches along the way where you can sit and rest. The path is wide, not too rocky, and the incline is gentle. Overall, it’s a pretty easy trail—no hiking poles needed, and you can comfortably chat while walking 🗣️💬. Perfect for a relaxing weekend hike with beautiful sea vistas. Some hikers on AllTrails also recommend coming here for sunset—must be gorgeous! 🌅 ⚠️ One thing to note: there’s very little shade, so it’s best to hike on cooler days.
