LA Hotels Near Hollywood 🎬🏨

For this trip to Los Angeles, I was torn between two IHG properties: Kimpton Everly Hotel and Kimpton La Peer. I preferred La Peer’s style and location, but Everly had more reviews and a higher rating. Plus, it’s super close to the Walk of Fame, and you can even see the Hollywood Sign right from your room! 🏞️👀 And with a price that was a few hundred dollars less for three nights compared to La Peer, I eventually canceled La Peer and rebooked at Everly. Both hotels were booked through the official IHG website, with free cancellation up to 48 hours in advance. La Peer also had a 5% discount at the time, if I remember correctly. Everly required booking at least three days ahead. The overall style of the hotel is great—rooms are clean and spacious. At check-in, we got a complimentary upgrade to a top-floor mountain view room! 🏔️✨ Slippers and toiletries are available upon request at the front desk. My partner and I ordered takeout but got no utensils, so we asked the front desk for two toothbrushes to use as chopsticks 🥢😅 The hotel doesn’t offer free bottled water, but there’s a drinking water station in the common area. I heard there’s complimentary coffee, but we woke up too late and couldn’t find it. ☕😴 There’s a bar on the first floor and a restaurant one level down. If you dine there, you can charge it to your room. The surrounding area, though, is just okay. The Walk of Fame area is decent, but just a couple of blocks away it gets pretty messy and dirty. 🚮🚧 Recommend driving or using Uber when going out. While strolling around Beverly Hills with my partner, we saw La Peer—the neighborhood there is much nicer.
