LA Japanese Cuisine|SOUTH BAY Otafuku Soba House 🍜✨
I’m always eating and drinking around Gardena and Torrance, so I figured it’s time to start documenting these gems! The place I originally wanted to visit was closed today, so I hopped next door to… Otafuku Restaurant A dedicated soba spot with tons of appetizers and small plates to choose from! They serve both cold and warm soba, three different noodle types, and countless topping options. 🍱🥢 🍣 Monkfish Liver Sashimi So good we forgot to take a pic before devouring it! No fishy taste—just rich and flavorful. 🍳 Chicken Omelette Super tender. Not the best I’ve ever had, but still delicious—especially with the grated daikon radish. 🦐 Shrimp & Plum Roll A whole shrimp wrapped with shiso leaf, fried with plum sauce into a crispy roll. A unique and tasty snack! I ordered the cold Zaru Soba topped with scallop and shrimp tempura, shiso, pumpkin, and okra. The dipping sauce was amazing, and the wasabi was freshly grated. The little scallop and shrimp tempura combo was a standout! 🍤🎃 My friend got the cold vegetable tempura soba soup with classic white noodles. Packed with veggies—every bite felt healthy and satisfying. Perfect for sharing! 🥦🍜 The restaurant was busy even at night—last call is at 9 PM, which is pretty late for a Japanese spot! The atmosphere is lively and conversational, great for catching up with friends or family. 👨👩👧👦💬 📍 Address: 16525 S Western Ave, Gardena, CA 90247 Have you been to Otafuku or have another favorite soba place in South Bay?
