LA Layover Beer Run β First Stop π»βοΈ
I purposely booked a layover in Los Angeles just to hunt for some fresh craft brews πΊ. Between Everywhere Beer and Monkish, I chose Monkish (not just because Everywhere was a 1.5-hour taxi ride from the airport π ). Turns out, the Torrance area around Monkish is packed with other awesome breweries too! First Stop: Cellardor Ales Originally planned to start light, but they specialize in sours only β no draft, no onsite consumption. They offer some really creative blends, like wine-beer hybrids and well-balanced hard seltzers, along with classic and fruited wild ales. Chatted with owner Alex, who kindly opened a couple of bottles for me since they were about to close β a refreshing seltzer and a pineapple-infused wild ale π. He mentioned that expanding their beer distribution to the East Coast is even tougher than exporting to China!
