LA Layover Guide: 10-Hour Half-Day Tour 🚗🌴

You can cover top spots like Beverly Hills, Santa Monica Beach, and In-N-Out in just 5 hours! Here’s the plan: 1️⃣ After exiting the airport with your luggage, head to the outdoor green poles on the 1st floor to take the LAXit shuttle to the Uber/Lyft pickup area. 2️⃣ From there, take a ride to LAX 24/7 Locker Rentals to store your bags. A large locker fits: 28” suitcase + 20” carry-on + backpack 🎒 Cost: $20 for 4 hours 💵 3️⃣ After storing your luggage, take another Uber to S Palm Dr. My driver was awesome and showed me the outside of Sony and Fox film studios along the way! 🎬 This street is gorgeous and totally embodies the California vibe. It’s quiet and perfect for photos 📸. 4️⃣ Walk 20 minutes to the famous Erewhon in Beverly Hills (a trendy celeb-loved smoothie spot). The street has lots of stylish stores—great for browsing if you have time 🛍️. I tried the Hailey Bieber Strawberry Glaze smoothie 🍓: Waited 15 mins, cost $21 Contains nuts and was a bit sticky—honestly overhyped 😅 5️⃣ At the end of the street, you’ll find the iconic Beverly Hills Sign 📍—a popular photo spot! 6️⃣ Uber to Santa Monica Beach (20-30 mins). I arrived 30 mins before sunset—perfect time to walk along the sand, take photos, and enjoy the view 🌅. The amusement park on the pier is super classic Americana 🎡—worth exploring with more time! 7️⃣ Uber from Santa Monica to In-N-Out near LAX (30 mins). It’s just a 5-min walk from the luggage lockers. Sadly, it was too crowded 🥲 so I skipped it. If you go, allocate extra time! Grab your bags and take a 10-min Uber back to LAX. 🕘 I had an 11:45 PM flight and arrived at the airport at 8:45 PM. Security and baggage check took only 1 hour—no need to arrive 3 hours early! 🍔 There’s no In-N-Out inside LAX, so grab a burger to go if you can! 💡 Rideshares cost me around $180 total.
