LA Log|Anyone Else Love Japanese-style Pasta? 🍝✨
Ever since I started documenting daily life here, I’ve enjoyed going out with my(boyfriend) to try new spots even more! We’ve been dating for two years now, and between LA and OC, we’ve probably visited no less than 200 cafés — seriously, we’re always scrolling through IG for soft-opening updates 🙈 🍝 Unico Tokyo Pasta — 📍Redondo Beach We both love Italian-Japanese fusion food. Their menu is organized by sauce type, with limited side options — clearly a pasta-focused spot. We ordered the popular Uni Truffle Pasta 💯 (!!! amazing) and Curry Bolognese 🤔 (…meh). Tip: Stick to the seafood-based pastas! My all-time favorite Italian-Japanese spot is still Bistro Kaz — their cold pasta and Japanese-style pizza still make me drool in my dreams 😂 Too bad it’s all the way in SD… 🍵 First Flight Coffee — 📍Torrance Just look at this flight set — isn’t it gorgeous?! Includes all their signature drinks, each with unique flavors. My favorite was the Peach Tea 🍑. ☕️ Kissaten Corazon — 📍Chinatown A newly opened café — I’m absolutely in love with the classical, elegant decor. Sipping coffee here makes me feel instantly fancy lol. Needless to say, every corner is photo-worthy! Even their ordering counter is beautifully designed. 🥾 Sturtevant Falls Hiking Trail — 📍Arcadia Went hiking with my boyfriend on a cloudy day — 2 hours round trip to see the waterfall. Cleared our lungs, enjoyed the fresh air… and came back exhausted 😂 (Note: some incline, but very scenic and cool by the water 👍). At home, tried making Korean chive & squid pancakes — looked decent, but… he forgot to add salt 😂 He mentioned that in Korea nowadays, more young men know how to cook than women. He hadn’t dated anyone here who could cook before me — I was like, seriously?! I excitedly told him: Chinese girls are basically little culinary geniuses 🍳🐮! ✨✨✨ They say pasta was born from a beautiful love story… #LALife #KoreanBoyfriend #JapanesePasta #CoffeeAdventures #HikingLA #FoodieCouple
