LA Los Angeles | Michelin Two-Star Kaiseki n/naka 🎏

It’s quite hard to get a reservation, but the waitlist (wl) is pretty easy to get into; I’ve been added to the wl and gotten in several times out of boredom 🤣 As one of LA’s beautiful meals, it’s definitely worth a visit. I made a reservation for the 8:45 pm seating, and by the time we finished, it was already midnight 🤣 There were still many people eating slowly, with two or three courses not yet served at midnight. The environment is great for a date and taking photos; the servers are not what you’d expect from traditional kaiseki, very diverse. I’ve included pictures of each dish. Niki, perhaps because she grew up in LA, the Japanese influence at this restaurant feels quite different from other kaiseki places. Some dishes are fusion, which might be why it’s so popular, especially when the truffle caviar pasta is served (it’s delicious as a pasta dish). Every dish was good, no disappointments, and the desserts were delicious, including the tea bags and scones to take away. But I probably won’t come back to check it out again. Emmmmmm, not sure why both my friend and I had some stomach bloating the second and third days after eating, which is quite a coincidence and mysterious. 💰: About $500 per person without alcohol 🍷: If you have high standards for wine, I suggest bringing your own 🤣 The restaurant doesn’t have great wine options, and the corkage fee is $75 (the requirement is for wines not sold by the restaurant). #MichelinRestaurantAdventure #LosAngelesFood #RestaurantRecommendation #KaisekiCuisine
