La Mercerie: Soho’s Most Beautiful French Brunch Spot 🌷🧺
Nestled in the heart of Soho, La Mercerie isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience. Designed by Roman and Williams Guild, the space feels like a dreamy Parisian home, filled with curated furniture, soft lighting, and elegant tableware you can actually buy. From my college days till now, I still come back — not necessarily for groundbreaking food, but for that effortlessly chic atmosphere that makes a weekend feel special. The brunch menu (available only on weekends) is delicate, pretty, and a bit pricey — so come for the vibe, not just the meal. Perfect for a post-shopping recharge or a photo-worthy catch-up with friends. 🧇 Crêpe Complète ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ A buckwheat crepe filled with ham, Swiss cheese, and a sunny-side-up egg, topped with a dollop of sour cream. The edges are lightly crisp, the center soft — though I wish there were more ham! 🐟 Sole Meunière ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Buttery, tender Dover sole with crispy skin, served with spring peas, morel mushrooms, and a lemon-brown butter sauce. Simple but well-executed. 🍮 Flan ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rich vanilla custard with a caramelized top — sweet, but balanced by creamy vanilla ice cream. The texture sits happily between cheesecake and pudding. A word to the wise: reservations are recommended. And even if you don’t stay to eat, step inside — the interior alone is inspiration worth soaking in. 📍 53 Howard St, New York, NY 10013 #LaMercerie #SohoBrunch #FrenchCuisine #NYCDesign #PrettyPlacesNYC #EatPretty
