LA Michelin One-Star | Bell’s – A Little Note
Took advantage of Super Bowl weekend to visit this Michelin-starred French spot in Los Alamos. Not much to do in the small town, but the sky view is stunning — highly recommend catching it! 💰 Per person: ~$160 (mandatory 20% service charge included) ✅ Santa Barbara Sea Urchin Incredibly fresh — uni on one side, caviar on the other. A bite full of ocean bliss. ✅ Bell’s Seeded Sourdough Nutty, fragrant, and unlimited refills — so good! ❌ Finley Farms Lettuces A simple salad — tangy but forgettable. ❌ Bay Scallop Tartare Too sour, too salty, and the raw scallops felt a bit fishy. ✅ Santa Rita Hills Rabbit en Croûte A creative twist on classic French pâté en croûte. The pastry was flaky, the rabbit juicy — rabbit never disappoints! ❌ Santa Barbara Rock Fish Perfectly cooked — crispy skin, tender flesh — but the sauce was overwhelmingly sour. ✅ Steak au Poivre Classic steak frites. The steak was cooked just right, fries were fine — not mind-blowing but reliable. Fun fact: the knife has a straight edge for slicing! ✅ Las Cumbres Honey Semifreddo Layered, fragrant semifreddo — delicious, though the salty caramel note wasn’t my favorite. ❌ Bananas Foster Glacée Too sweet — one bite felt like a sugar overload. 🎆 Ambience & Service: Sitting at the counter lets you watch each dish being made — super engaging! We celebrated our anniversary here — the staff congratulated us from the start, personalized our menus, and even gifted us champagne on the house 🥂. Thoughtful and full of nice touches. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A tasty Michelin meal with a few dishes that didn’t click with my palate. Perfect for celebrations — definitely a “pretty meal” kind of spot. #FrenchCuisine #VibeyDining #LosAngeles #Michelin #MichelinRestaurant #PrettyRestaurant
