LA Michelin-Starred Kaiseki Uka 🌟 How Did This Get a Star? ^ 🍱

Made a last-minute reservation at Uka, a highly-rated kaiseki spot in LA. They only offered an 8:30 PM slot online, and when we arrived, we were given the "after 8:30 PM" menu along with an à la carte menu. The restaurant was empty except for us—decent ambiance, though. The two appetizers were okay, but from the sashimi course onward, things went downhill... 😵💫 The sashimi tasted like it was straight out of a Hmart fridge. The wagyu we ordered à la carte with ponzu sauce was so greasy it made me nauseous. And the final steak course? Felt like something from Texas Roadhouse... 😵💫 The waitress seemed to be in a bad mood too—resting face the whole time. We asked for gluten-free options, and she brought out a plate of tempura...? 🍤 The chef was polite though—watched us eat the entire meal and saw us out on our way ^. Thanks, but we won’t be back. #JapaneseCuisine #LAMichelin #LARestaurants #Uka #MichelinStar #LosAngeles #Kaiseki #DiningFail #FoodReview #NotRecommended #LAEats
