It cost a whopping $1.37 billion (yes, nearly 10 billion RMB!) and opened in 1997. 🔹 Land area: 110 acres (~445,000 sqm) 🔹 Building area: 88,200 sqm 🔹 Collection: Over 125,000 European paintings, sculptures, manuscripts, decorative arts, and photographs spanning from the 8th to the 20th century! 🎨 Must-See Masterpieces: 🌟 Van Gogh’s Irises Painted in 1889 during his stay at a psychiatric hospital in Saint-Rémy. The colors are dreamy, and standing before it, you can truly feel Van Gogh’s emotional intensity! 🏞 Hidden Gems at the Getty|Viewpoint & Cactus Garden 📸 Viewpoint|LA’s Most Beautiful Skyline! From the museum terrace, you can see all of Los Angeles. On clear days, you can spot Santa Monica Beach — and at sunset, it’s absolutely magical with orange-red light glowing over the city. 🌵 Cactus Garden|The Most Underrated Photo Spot! On the top-level terrace, there’s a dreamy cactus garden with over 500 types of cacti and succulents.
