LA Omakase: Mori Nozomi β An All-Female Sushi Experience π£β¨
Tried Mori Nozomi β LA's first Michelin-starred omakase led by a female chef team. While the service was exceptionally warm and attentive, the food itself was a more subtle experience. Highlights: β¨ Fresh Scallop, Bluefin Tuna Belly, Baby Snapper β clean, delicate flavors π£ Belt Fish & Tempura β well-executed, added nice texture π Eggplant Nigiri β unique and surprisingly pleasant π΅ Dessert & Matcha β beautifully presented, with a personal touch (we received tea bags for our anniversary π) However: π Sushi seasoning was very light β maybe too subtle for some π¬ Mackerel tasted slightly fishy to me π¦ Kegani Ankake (Hairy Crab) β pretty plating, but the texture was gloopy and lacking in crab essence At $280 per person (before tax, tip, drinks), itβs an elegant, intimate meal with thoughtful service β though the flavors may not wow everyone.
