Another solo omakase run… honestly wish I had a food buddy 😅 But let’s get to it — I’ve been eyeing this spot for a while. Portions are huge — I have a small appetite and was stuffed halfway through. Walked out with a noticeably rounder belly 🥲 But the flavors were on point! The red prawn was outstanding, and one appetizer — fried scallop — was jokingly called “chicken nugget” by the chef 😂 Service was friendly, seating is limited. Fun coincidence: Chefs from Sushi Inaba were also dining there (your place is so hard to book… tears 😭). They were super chatty, and as a shy solo diner, I ended up staying three hours haha. Sushi Sonagi 📍 1425 Artesia Blvd UNIT 27, Gardena, CA 90248 💰 $250 pp → ~$330 with tax & tip. Not bad at all — I didn’t order drinks (solo), so pretty good value for dinner omakase!
