Craving French food lately β discovered this restaurant in Santa Monica right next to Giorgio Baldi. Cozy but beautifully decorated, perfect for dates. We started with tuna tartlets and brioche π₯ π Tuna Tartlets β small, fragrant, addictive. π Brioche β absolutely divine with butter! Could easily eat two plates. Mains: baby chicken and pesto pasta π Baby Chicken β tender, juicy, with crisp snap peas. π Creste di Gallo with Basil Pesto β sauce was fragrant and well-balanced, light but memorable with that basil aftertaste. Also tried the serverβs recommendation: Panisse β fried chickpea fries, crispy outside, creamy inside. So good! π Dessert stole the show β a whole tray of dessert samples, each one tempting! We chose Vanilla St. Honore and Mango Sorbet. π Vanilla St. Honore β cream perfectly sweet, not cloying, with a lingering aroma. Topped with crunchy pearls, base was super crisp. Perfect combo. π Mango Sorbet β refreshing, smooth, not overly sweet. β¨ The pastry here is exceptional β both the brioche and desserts are made in-house. First bite was stunning β rich, layered textures.
