🌟 LA Star-Chasing Diary|Morihiro — Left Feeling Angry 💣

Since this Michelin one-star Japanese spot had middling reviews online, I didn’t have high hopes to begin with — but after the meal, I was even more disappointed. For a Michelin-starred omakase priced at $250/$400 per person, all the fish-related dishes were bland, and the ingredients felt average at best. Kanpachi, kinmedai, bluefin tuna — even the uni was disappointing.😊😘 The fish and shrimp lacked any glossy, fresh look — unappetizing just to look at. On the bright side, the cold dishes and simmered items were better.😍👍 The first-course tofu was rich and delicious — a standout! The eggplant tempura with fish broth-based sauce was also impressive. And the final tamagoyaki — texture like a soufflé or cake — moist, soft, tender — easily top 3 tamagoyaki I’ve ever had.😍😁 Dessert: melon was sweet, coffee pudding small but tasty. Overall, this is a Japanese restaurant I won’t return to — and honestly puzzled how it’s held a Michelin star for so many years (just my personal taste though). #JapaneseCuisine #LAFood #LosAngelesFood #LAJapanese #LAFoodDiscovery
