We went on a Tuesday night and were actually confused — wondering how a place this good could be almost empty. When we asked the staff, they said: “It’s because Ohtani is pitching tonight.” ⚾😂 Apparently, if there’s no Ohtani game, the restaurant is packed and you need to book days in advance! Anyway, we ordered a ton of food — almost everything was great, no disappointments. Here are my personal favorites and highlights: 🍢 Ginnan – Grilled ginkgo nuts, so good. 🐙 Takowasa – Fresh raw octopus with wasabi, very tasty. 🦑 Japanese Squid – Grilled squid, somehow really appetizing — maybe I was just hungry 😋. 🐟 Grilled Mackerel (special menu) – Absolutely amazing, must-order! 🍖 All meat skewers – Loved them all, perfectly grilled, except the cartilage (too tough for me). 🍠 Sweet Potato Crème Brûlée – This will blow your mind! How can such simple ingredients taste so incredible?! 🍧 Lychee Sorbet – Also fantastic — refreshing and flavorful.
