LA Yakitori So Good We Almost Missed Our Flight 🍢
Located in Little Tokyo – recommended by the chef during an omakase meal at the same spot. Yakitori is essentially grilled skewers, and without that smoky char, it’s just not the same. Compared to New York’s yakitori spots, this place keeps it real – no fancy frills, just straight-up charcoal aroma and insanely juicy chicken and hearts that had us ordering more and more. They even serve Tamano Hikari sake, specially brewed for yakitori! The chicken hearts are a must-try – graded into several tiers with a per-table limit. During our visit, they had almost every part except “Chicken Ovaries” and “Chicken Lanterns” 🍡. Finding yakitori in the U.S. that rivals Japan or China in flavor is rare – and here, it’s not only delicious but also reasonably priced! ❤️ Chicken Hearts – We tried both SS and SSS grades – so tender and bouncy! A total redemption after chewing through jerky-like hearts elsewhere. 🍖 Chicken White Liver – Incredibly tasty. ✨ Chicken Gizzard – Crispy yet springy, a must-order. 🦪 Chicken Oyster & Neck Meat – Consistently delicious. 🍗 Wings, Skin, Veggies – All solid, no disappointments. After eating and drinking happily, we checked our phones – only 30 minutes till our flight… so we did the logical thing: ordered another round 😂. #YakitoriLovers #CozyIzakaya #GrilledSkewers #LateNightEats #JapaneseFoodHeaven
