Laguna Restaurant | Larsen šŸ½ļø

A review of Larsen restaurant in Laguna, including parking tips at the end! šŸš— First, my ratings: Ambience: 9/10 – 9 points for the ocean view, but minus 1 because the outdoor chairs were a bit dirty. Service: 6/10 – The server disappeared after taking our order. Food: 7/10 – Pretty average, but the setting makes up for it. Let’s talk about the atmosphere: This restaurant is inside Laguna Hotel, with both indoor and outdoor seating. We made a reservation for outdoor seating on a Sunday. We arrived at 12:45 PM, and there were still plenty of empty tables indoors. But if you want to sit outside, it’s best to book ahead! I highly recommend the outdoor area—it offers stunning ocean views and a super relaxing vibe. 🌊 We ordered five dishes in total. Since the main draw here is the view, I’ll keep the food reviews short and sweet! šŸ¦‘ Crispy De Calamari This was my favorite! Just simple fried calamari, but delicious and well-made. 🐟 Ahi Poke Nachos A tasty appetizer with tuna, veggies, and crispy chips. I’d say it’s just as good as the calamari—the seasoning was on point! šŸ¦ž Lobster Roll Served with fries and ketchup. The fries were great, but the lobster was a bit bland—needed extra sauce to shine. šŸ™ Spanish Octopus Octopus with potatoes. The potatoes were a bit dry, and the flavor was just okay. Not as good as the calamari. šŸ³ Egg White Omelet Came with a side salad. Tasted exactly like a standard hotel breakfast omelet—nothing special. Summary: The setting is absolutely beautiful—sitting outdoors gives you a direct view of the Pacific, with the beach right below. You can even walk down to the sand from the restaurant! But the service was lacking—our server vanished after taking our order. The waitress who helped us seemed impatient (only with us!), but was warm and even kissed the cheeks of another table. The food is decent—not bad, but not memorable either. Parking: The hotel offers parking, but we parked at the OC Library-Laguna Beach Branch across the street. Address: 363 Glenneyre St, Laguna Beach, CA 92651. Cost: $3 per hour, max 3 hours. Have you been to Larsen or have another favorite spot in Laguna?
