Lahpet | Hidden Gem Restaurant in London 🌴
I’ve always loved Southeast Asian cuisine for its diverse spices and unique flavors, but this was my first time trying Burmese food! My friend recommended this cozy spot tucked away in Covent Garden, and I went in with an open mind. I ended up completely falling in love! 💕 It felt like I’d opened the door to a whole new world of Burmese cuisine—so delicious, I’m hooked! 😍 As soon as I stepped inside, I was immediately charmed by the elegant and refreshing ambiance. The all-wood furniture, abundant greenery, and outdoor terrace seating made it such a chill spot to relax. ✨ Recommended Dishes 🥢: 🐟 Whole Fried Bream This is one of Lahpet’s signature dishes, and it was absolutely stunning! The chef separates the fish bones from the flesh, then deep fries the bones until crispy and fragrant. The fish meat is tender and flavorful. Paired with a special dipping sauce, it’s a perfect balance of fresh fish and tangy sauce—so delicious! 🤤 🥗 Tea Leaf Salad This tea leaf salad has a super unique flavor! At first, the tea leaves give a slightly sour and bitter taste, but once you mix them with sweet beans, crispy nuts, and shredded purple cabbage, the dish becomes incredibly refreshing with layers of flavor. The texture is crunchy and naturally sweet—so yummy! 🥄 🍤 King Prawn Curry I absolutely loved this dish! The prawns are large, tender, and juicy, and the curry flavor is rich and aromatic. The tomato-based sauce with a hint of onion adds a little tang, making each bite a burst of happiness! 🍤❤️ 🍜 Coconut Noodles with Chicken For coconut milk lovers, you HAVE to try these noodles! The coconut milk infuses every noodle, and the chicken is soft and tender. After finishing the noodles, you’ll want to sip the soup too—it’s so flavorful with a lingering sweetness! 🥥🍜 #LondonEats #BurmeseFoodInLondon #LahpetWestEnd #LondonRestaurantVibes #LondonLife #MustTryRestaurantsInLondon
