Lake Arrowhead Cliffside Restaurant 🍁 Where’s Autumn Already…?

By late October, I thought Big Bear Lake and Lake Arrowhead would be full of fall colors… but this week turned out unexpectedly warm! 🌡️ While in the area running errands and wondering where to eat, I stumbled upon Hortencia's at the Cliffhanger 🤤—and it was perfectly on the way! This place seems pretty famous… and for good reason: great views + delicious food! Maybe we came too early—the outdoor seating wasn’t open yet, so we ate inside. A little awkward timing, haha 😆 I heard if you come earlier, you might even catch a sea of clouds ☁️… but the view was still lovely nonetheless. This is a Mexican restaurant, and portions are huge… Highly recommend the Fajitas—we got the beef version, and wow, so flavorful! 😁 After the meal, we strolled around Lake Arrowhead Village and spotted a small patch of red leaves 🍁… Autumn hasn’t truly arrived yet. The cliffside restaurant is located along the road to the Village—you can plan your meal timing based on your route.
