Lanzarote | Is this restaurant with 3,700 reviews
🍄🍄Before coming to Lanzarote, I’d heard a lot about Casa Rafa while doing my research. After all, it’s rare to find a restaurant with over 3,000 reviews still boasting a 4.8 rating.🍞 🍇The restaurant has a fantastic location—just a 5-minute walk from the Green Lagoon. Sitting by the window, you can soak up the sun, gaze out at the waves, and sip on icy-sweet 😘😘Sangria, making for a perfect moment of relaxation during a tiring trip. We ordered scallops as a starter, served with the homemade Mojo red and green sauces that every restaurant in Lanzarote offers for free. 🥐 The rich🥞 garlic butter, mixed with the aroma of basil, complemented the fresh scallops perfectly—so delicious that you won’t want to waste a single drop! 🍔 Be sure to soak up all the sauce with bread, then add a dollop of Mojo… you know the drill. 🤌🏻 The Galician-style grilled octopus tentacles had a tender, slightly sticky texture, different from the usual chewy consistency we’re used to, which gave it a unique flavor.🍣🍣 I loved the local seasoning—since the ingredients are fresh enough, a simple mix of olive oil, paprika, and a pinch of salt is enough to bring out their natural deliciousness.🍥🍥 🍵For the main course, we went with the fish recommended by our host. I’d originally wanted grilled fish, but the host mentioned it wasn’t fresh that day, so he suggested this local variety, just caught that morning. 🍐 I can’t remember the name, but the half-grilled, half-pan-seared texture was incredible—one bite revealed the crispy, paper-thin crust, the tender, flaky fish, and the rich juices, all bursting with freshness. 🍩🍩 It was so good👍👍, I could barely find the words to describe it. Admittedly, this review might not be entirely objective—after two glasses of Sangria, we were all a bit tipsy. But the happiness and satisfaction from the wonderful dining experience were absolutely reality.🍉🍉 🍬All the staff were friendly and attentive, quick to serve, and their recommendations for drinks and food were genuinely tailored to our tastes (for example, the two of us were going to order a large 500ml Sangria, but the waiter suggested ordering two individual glasses instead—it cost the same, but each glass was around 350ml. 🍩 🥞Turns out, those huge portions were enough to knock my boyfriend off his feet… By the end of the meal, we were all tipsy from eating and drinking, and they even sent us two glasses of dessert liquor. 🥙 After that, we stumbled outside and collapsed on the black rocky beach, watching the waves, listening to the sea breeze, and closing our eyes to soak up the North Atlantic sunshine.🥑 📍Casa Rafa Restaurante De Mar Av. Marítima, 10, 35570 El Golfo, Las Palmas There’s a large free parking lot in front of the café near the Green Lagoon viewing platform. It’s recommended to park there and walk 5 minutes to the restaurant. 🥔🥔 Don’t be intimidated by the queue—turnover is quick, or you can book in advance to skip the wait.🥘🥘 #lanzarote #lanzaroteVolcanicIsland #LanzaroteFood #lanzaroteGuide
