🍜 Lanzhou Beef Noodles Next to Ztao in Dallas
Sat down and wanted to check Xiaohongshu for recommendations, but found very few posts — so I’m here to contribute! As a Northeastern Chinese, I prefer saltier flavors 😉 Three of us ordered three different bowls of noodles: 1️⃣ Classic Lanzhou Beef Noodles 🌶️ Noodle type: 2nd thinness (二细) — chewy and clearly hand-pulled! Broth: Flavorful with a mild spicy kick Beef: Sliced beef (not tendon) — I actually prefer this style Note: Noodles were a bit undercooked for me, quite a jaw workout 💪 Price: $14 2️⃣ Green Pepper Mixed Noodles Noodle type: Also 2nd thinness — perfectly chewy and well-cooked Taste: Felt like noodles soaked in oily veggie broth — decent but nothing special Price: $14 3️⃣ Northwest “Saozi” Noodles Noodle type: Wide noodles (大宽) — softer than expected, a bit disappointing Taste: Never had authentic saozi noodles, so can’t compare — but it wasn’t bad (we finished the whole bowl!) Price: $15 ✅ Honest take: Solid spot for hand-pulled noodles, especially if you like classic Lanzhou-style broth. Noodle texture varies by type — choose based on your preference (二细 was our winner). #LanzhouNoodles #DallasChineseFood #HandPulledNoodles #DFWEats #NoodleLover
