📍 León 📷|A Stopover City with Almost Zero Planning…

Originally, León was just supposed to be a transit point between Guanajuato and Mérida 🚌💤. I didn’t even bother making a proper travel guide for it… but this brief stopover turned out to be surprisingly memorable! 📸 Here’s the confusing part : Guanajuato’s airport ✈️ is actually located in León, but there’s no direct bus from Guanajuato city to the airport—you have to pass through León’s downtown first. So, I figured, "Why not explore León while we’re here?" (Though, to be fair, my husband might’ve seen a direct ticket 🎫 when buying bus passes… or maybe he misread it? 🤔 Either way, most guides don’t mention it, and you could always just Uber 🚕 if you wanna skip León.) León doesn’t have tons of attractions, but the main spots—Lion Fountain and the pink-and-white church (Templo Expiatorio del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús—I’ll write more about it later 📒)—can be covered in half a day. As the City of Lions (perfect for a Leo like me ♌️!), León’s historic buildings and churches have this grand, awe-inspiring vibe 🌟. It’s not a top tourist destination, but you can still feel its rich history and glory ✨. Plus, León is full of life—even at night, the streets buzz with energy 🔥. There’s a real local charm here, a warmth that makes you feel at home. Even though I was only passing through, León gave me a little surprise 💓—a reminder that sometimes, the unplanned moments are the best ones. 😊 #MexicoTravelGuide #MexicoAdventures #LeónMexico 🇲🇽✨
