Finally visited Lilo after making a reservation two weeks in advance! 📍 Lilo 2571 Roosevelt St, Carlsbad, CA 92008 This is a coastal nature-inspired seafood tasting restaurant that uses ingredients from around the world. The surprisingly high proportion of Japanese ingredients was a delightful surprise 😋💕 From the aroma, the moment it touches your palate, to the layered evolution of flavors, every dish is exquisitely crafted, and each bite is utterly captivating 🫶🏻 Since it’s close to midterm exams, I opted for the non-alcoholic pairing. Each drink was thoughtfully crafted and nuanced, fully holding its own against the alcoholic pairing 🍹💭 During the meal, you can watch the chefs at work in the open kitchen up close, which really enhances the immersive experience 🧑🏻‍🍳🥣 After the meal, you can enjoy tea outdoors, listening to music and feeling the gentle breeze.
