Lincoln_Crust Restaurant – A Hidden Gem with a Royal-Trained Chef!

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Lincoln_Crust Restaurant – A Hidden Gem with a Royal-Trained Chef! Tucked away on the uphill path toward Lincoln Cathedral, right next to Tesco, Lincoln_Crust is one of those blink-and-you’ll-miss-it spots—but it’s full of charm and history! 👨🍳 Meet the Chef-Owner: The entire restaurant is run by one elderly gentleman—the chef, server, and owner. Rumor has it he once cooked for royalty and won numerous awards in his youth! 👑🏆 🍽️ 3-Course Set Menu Review: 1️⃣ Chef’s Homemade Broth: • Changes daily based on the chef’s mood! • Ours included carrot, cabbage, two meatballs, and pickled leafy greens. • Sadly, it was overly sour with little meat flavor—not our favorite. 😅 • A friend who’s been multiple times said it’s usually delicious—maybe we caught an off day? 2️⃣ Entrecôte Steak: • Two pieces of steak served with boiled broccoli, carrots, fried potatoes, and a green pepper sauce. • The steak was unfortunately overcooked and tough. • But the fried potatoes? Perfectly crispy outside, soft inside—so good! • The green pepper sauce was flavorful and nicely balanced. 3️⃣ Dessert: • I ordered pudding but got something even better! • A warm, buttery pastry filled with mildly sweet dried fruits, resting on a pool of unpasteurized cream. Absolutely delicious and not too sweet—a real highlight! 🍮❤️ 💰 Price: £18.95 for the 3-course meal 🛋️ Vibe: Cozy, intimate, and very Instagram-friendly—great for a quiet meal or a cute date. 📌 Final Thoughts: While the main courses didn’t fully win us over, the dessert and the story behind this place made it worthwhile. Maybe skip the soup and steak and head straight for the sweets—or try your luck on a different day! #LincolnCrust #HiddenGems #BritishFood #HistoricEats #FoodReview #LincolnFood #CozyRestaurant
