Little Tokyo, LA | Solo Dining Experience 🍣
Arrived at Sushi Gen at 10:45 AM, and there was already a line! 😳 They open at 11 AM, and though I made it in the first wave, there were no single seats available. 😅 I put my name down and headed to Medori for matcha ice cream 🍵 (since Tea Master is closed on Mondays). The ice cream was pretty good, but a bit watery and melted super fast! 🫠 Returned to Sushi Gen around 11:20 AM, waited about 10 more minutes, and got seated! 🪑 Ordered the Lunch Set for $26—such great value! 💰 Honestly, LA feels way more affordable than London overall, from restaurants to supermarkets. Like, UK salaries are low but prices are high… why?? 🤷♀️ It had all the basics you’d expect. I’d wait 30 minutes for it, but probably not much longer. ⏳ Even though I was full, I still wanted to try Tsujita’s dipping noodles 🍜—got the spicy version. But honestly… not that great. 😬 Overall, I felt Little Tokyo’s food scene wasn’t as good as Koreatown’s—but maybe that’s just my personal taste! 👀 What’s your favorite spot in Little Tokyo—or do you prefer Koreatown too?
