Little Tokyo’s New Farmers’ Market Is Now Open – Here’s Where & When You Can Stop By
Love local produce, gentle morning sunshine, and mom-and-pop vendors? Well, you’re in luck! Downtown Los Angeles’ Little Tokyo neighborhood just got its own Farmers’ Market! The new community event had its grand opening on Saturday, August 20, at the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center in the Isamu Noguchi Plaza. The new farmers’ market is a collaboration between the JACCC and Food Access LA, whose mission, according to their website, is to build “sustainable food systems that promote social and cultural activities benefiting low-to-moderate income residents of Los Angeles while also supporting California small- and mid-sized farms and local small businesses.” The market is open to the public and runs every Saturday from 9 am to 2 pm. Dates are currently set through the rest of 2025. *Secret Los Angeles* stopped by the market’s grand opening event on August 30. Local vendors were selling everything from ceramics and trinkets to a wide range of berries and produce. Food Access LA is also looking for more vendors to participate in the market, according to a recent Instagram post.
