London’s Hottest Michelin One-Star Restaurants: OMA vs. MOUNTAIN
🥩The notion that London lacks good food is long outdated. Nowadays, the city is brimming with delicious dining options. Today, I’m comparing two of the newest and most popular Michelin one-star restaurants. Let’s start with OMA: Scallop: This super-popular scallop dish is limited in quantity each day. It has a unique and juicy flavor. I recommend booking in advance or visiting during lunch to secure a taste before they sell out. 🥩Greek Cheese with XO Sauce: Incredibly delicious! I give it five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The combination of the cheese and XO sauce, scooped with potato chips, feels like a trip to culinary heaven. A must-order! Bread: Soft and chewy, whether eaten with cheese or on its own. Avocado + Tuna: Fresh and delightful, with no complaints. Octopus: Also highly recommended by the staff and limited daily, but I found it average. You might skip it. Desserts: Personally, I wasn’t a fan. They were just too sweet. 🥩MOUNTAIN: Squid with Roasted Peppers: A rather unusual combination, including sauerkraut. The flavor was just okay. Anchovy Toast: Delicious! The white part resembles Ricotta cheese. But don’t eat the fish alone; it’s quite salty. Enjoy it as a complete trio. Scattered Scallop: Named by the restaurant, it’s average with a sweet and sour taste. Rice: Wood-fired rice, nothing special. Omelette: I chose black truffle, crab meat, and mushrooms. It became a bit heavy towards the end. Oyster: Previously served with apple, the menu has changed. The oysters are quite fresh, and the accompanying sauce is refreshing. The price is also reasonable (much more affordable than in Hong Kong!). After comparing the two, both my friends and I prefer OMA. Whether it’s the dishes or the prices, OMA wins hands down. #RepeatVisitRestaurant #LondonTravel #LondonFood
